Obituary

Jazmine Michelle Henderson , began her earthly season in Albany, Georgia on March 23, 1997.  She was the beloved daughter Henderson and Taurus Batten.

As she blossomed and grew, she received her early childhood and secondary education in the public schools of Dougherty County, graduating from Monroe Comprehensive High School in 2015. Throughout school, Jazmine was a very lively, energetic student with a beaming temperament that was a ray of sunshine to everyone around her.

Jazmine enjoyed many interesting leisure pursuits and entertainment in her life.  She was a DIY projects enthusiast, loved doing pedicures and sitting crisscross, delighted in taking pictures, and was most passionate about cooking and trying new recipes.  Family and friends were among her greatest cherished gifts and spending time with them was a top priority. Her enthusiasm and exuberance were contagious—she was the kind of person that anyone would be proud to call daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend.

Endearingly called "Jaz/Jazzy" by family and friends, and "Gul" by her loving mother, Jazmine had a special way of drawing people to her and becoming a intricate part of their lives.  Although faced with health challenges, she persevered courageously—forever reminding us to treasure each moment that we have with those we hold dear.

On July 26, 2022, Jazmine peacefully transitioned from this earthly life at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Robert Batten; and her uncle, Laconté Allen.

Beautiful memories will  forever be cherished by her loving parents, Michelle Henderson and Taurus Batten; siblings, Xavier Sanford, Alex Sampson, Jr., Jaden Sampson, and Taylor Batten; grandparents, Eloise (Benjamin) Allen and Constance (Johnny) Coleman; godparents, Pamela Kendrick and Reginald Smith; bonus mom, La'Dalia Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
