Obituary

Time To Be Born…
On August 8, 1957, Jeanette Prince was born to the parents of the late Jimmy & Addie B. Prince in Leesburg, GA.


A Time To Learn…She received her formal education in the public school system of Lee County. She was a graduate of the class of 1978.


A Time To Serve…
At an early age, Jeanette accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior uniting with the McAfee Grove Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to the Frist Monumental Faith Ministries where she served faithfully on the usher board until her health begin to decline.


A Time To Love… In October of 1978, she was united in holy matrimony with Tilliman Simmons, Jr. This union was blessed with three children; Shelia (Duck), Schauka (Peewee), and William (Bo). Jeanette was a selfless person who worked hard and showed her children unconditional love.


A Time To Work…
Jeanette was a persistent, hardworking person who always provided for her family. She was employed by Flint River Textiles for 20 years.

After the company closed, she was employed by Equity Group until health complications ended her time there.


A Time To Embrace…
Jeanette Simmons always showed love and respect for everyone. She loved her family and was willing to give to anyone in need. For her children, there was no love like a mother's love.


A Time To Rest…
On April 7, 2024, God called Jeanette's name and she answered entering eternal rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Carolyn Jackson.


A Time To Cherish…
Jeanette Prince Simmons leaves a legacy, a lifetime of love and priceless memories to her three children; Shelia Simmons of Albany, GA, Schauka Simmons of Albany, GA, and William Simmons of Albany, GA. Her stepchildren; Cesear Young (Desiree) of Lakeland, FL, Velda Young and Reginald Young both of Douglasville, GA. Sister, Evelyn McCray of Albany, GA. Her four brothers; Archie Murry of Tallahassee, FL, Jimmy Prince, Jr. (Veronica) of Albany, GA, Marion (Faith) of Leesburg, GA, Michael Prince (Tracie) of Albany, GA. A sister-in-law; Geraldine Profit of Leesburg, GA. Grandchildren; Ellery Cooper, Jr., Ethain Cooper, Jalexia Ellis, Adonis Simmons, Austin Toomer. Great Grandchildren; Khloe Cooper, Kyrie Cooper and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
