Jeannie Jackson, Jr., son of the late Jeannie Jackson, Sr. and Thelma Louise Debnam, was born in Henderson, Vance County, North Carolina. At an early age, he was reared under the guardianship of his paternal aunt, the late Flora Jackson.
He received his formal education in the Vance County School System, including Pinkston Street Elementary and Vance High School where he graduated in 1974.
Jeannie began his career at Burkart Manufacturing Company, and later furthered his career working diligently at Lowes Home Improvement, Inc. until his health declined. He was a genuine, humble man who was a source of encouragement to many. One of his finest qualities was gratitude. Even in the midst of health challenges, he was always grateful for every good thing that came his way. His caregiver, Mrs. Bernice Jackson, was kind and compassionate towards him and made a difference in his life during his recovery period.
Having professed his faith and belief in Lord while residing in North Carolina, he united with the body of Christ and served faithfully as a Deacon at the New Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend J. H. Bryant, and the Progressive Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Richard Batts. Upon relocating to Columbus, Georgia, he united with the Body of Christ Church International under the guidance and leadership of Bishop G. K. Blue.
