Obituary

Mr. Jerald Bernard Hall (affectionately known as "Bernard," "Manute," "Nute," "Nutebol," and simply, "Hall" to family and close friends) was born in Albany, Georgia August 19, 1969 to the late Helen Louise Redding Hall and the late Bennie Lee Smith at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital here in Albany, Georgia.

Bernard was educated in the Dougherty County School System. While in school, Bernard was a talented artist and participated in several talent shows with an elite group of young men who were once known as the "Distinguished Delegates of Brotherhood" (D.D.B.). This group of young
men were very close to Bernard's heart as he interacted with young men who had like minds in raising money for the school (Monroe Comprehensive High School) and providing clean entertainment for the local young people. He graduated from Monroe High School Class of 1988.

Bernard's love and pride for his class remained amongst his family and friends.

Mr. Hall served in the Army National Guard during Desert Storm. Bernard took such pride in serving our nation that he made sure he told everyone everywhere he went that he was a veteran and welcomed the gratitude shown by others. After serving his country, he worked as a Truck driver at Fleetmaster Trucking, Silver Eagle Trucking and lastly O'Reilly Auto Parts Trucking Services until his health began to decline in March of 2020.

Bernard was a hard-working and dedicated husband to his long-time wife and caretaker Kisha and a strong and supportive father to who would always been known as "his girls" no matter how they grew (Kyrshondra, Kendra, and Akeelah). He was a great big brother to ALL his siblings. If anyone could make you laugh, Bernard could. He had a talent to make you laugh. You would not find a more all-around lover who enjoyed fellowshipping with people and having a good time.

In the providence of God, on Sunday March 23, 2025 he transitioned to his eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bennie Lee Smith and Mother - Helen Louise Redding and his grandparents, Betty Ann Cooper (maternal grandmother) and Ethel Lee Gardner, Julia Bell Smith (fraternal grandmother).
