Jerry Charles Albritton known as "Buck Wheat" was born October 15, 1949 in Leary, GA to Marie Albritton Robinson and the late Judge "JD" Albritton.

He received his formal education in the public schools of Calhoun County.  He was active and participated in various school events.

He was an active member of Word of Grace, COGIC, where Allen Grant Jr. serves as Pastor.

Buck Wheat was a conscientious individual who took pride in truck driving.  He drove long haul for Wal-Mart for over twenty-five years.  Overall, he drove trucks for over fifty years.

Buck Wheat was an excellent cook and he was known for his skills on the grill.  He was a kind hearted and thoughtful person that enjoyed family gatherings or just grilling for the community.

On August 17, 2022, Buck Wheat quietly departed this earthly life at his residence with his family at his side.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers; David Lee Albritton, Ulysess Albritton, Ricky Lee Albritton and Bobbie Lee Albritton.

He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish fond memories a loving wife Toledo Edwards Albritton, five sons; Jerry C. Albritton Jr. (Shameka), Lynwood Edwards, Therron Edwards (Brenda), Artesian Edwards and Brian Payton, one daughter Jacqueline Maze (Greg).  Fourteen siblings; Annie Crawford (Lucius), Brenda Charles-Sirham, Joyce Ware (Josh), Dorothy Gardner(Charlie), Diane Lee (Tyrone), Jimmy Lee Albritton, Edgar Albritton (Dora), Marion Albritton (Denise) Johnny B. Leveston, Jeffrey Leveston, Tony Hudson, Gail Crenshaw (Andrew), and Fannie Mallory; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
