Jerry C. Lowe was born in Randolph County, Georgia on April 3, 1951. He was the son of the late James and Ida L. Tinsley.

He received his formal education in the public schools of Dougherty County, graduating from Monroe High School.  Throughout school, he participated in numerous student activities and events.

Jerry was employed as a roofer for numerous companies, including Anderson Roofing for many years.  He was very handy, had the ability to fix almost anything, highly skilled in his profession, and was commended by his supervisors and peers for always being present on the job.

Family and friends were very important to Jerry and he delighted in spending time with them.  He loved unconditionally, was a friend you could depend on, and was always ready to help in any way that he could.  The bonds of friendship that he developed throughout his life will forever be remembered.

On March 30, 2022, Jerry departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Helen M. Harris, Ronnie Lowe, and Jimmy Harris; and his nephew, Horace McClain, Jr.

He is survived by his nieces and nephew, Barbara (Steve) Simmons and Trina Thomas (Jasper Tift) of Tampa, FL, and Derrick (Kaneika) Thomas of Albany, GA; aunts, Irene Brown, Ida P. Giffers, and Frances (Bishop Brady) McSwain, all of Albany, GA, Mannie L. Griffin of Fayetteville, NC, Cora (Jeff) Jenkins of Charlotte, NC, and Della Lowe of Shellman, GA; great nephews, Cody Thomas, Michael Thomas, Aaron Jones, Jasper Jackson, D'Laryon Poole, Marques Ealey, Larry White, and Tommie Lee; great-great nieces and nephews, La'Kya Ealey, Shaquanta Thomas, Miracle Thomas, R'reil Thomas, Makayla Thomas, Cody Thomas, Jr., and Destiny L. Jones; stepsisters, Cherly Bullock, Vickie Tinsley, and Ethaline Bullock; a cousin/brother, Frank Berry Lowe; and three special friends, Alice Tinson, Sudie Roney, and Charlie W. Savage, Jr.
