Ms. Jessie Pearl McCoy (known to her children and grandchildren as "Ma") was born on June 4, 1933, in Lee
County Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Johnnie Young and the late Mrs. Ola Mae Guest Young. Mrs. Jessie Pearl Mccoy gained her wings on March 23, 2023, at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center. She was educated in the public schools of Lee County. At an early age, she joined the Phillip Grove Baptist Church, where she served until her health failed. She was greatly known for her amazing cooking, gardening, and spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her late Husband Mr. Howard Mccoy; five of her children, Mr. Jessie James Mccoy, Mr. Aaron Mccoy, Mr. Howard Mccoy Jr, Ms. Bonnie Ruth Mccoy, and Mrs. Lillie Bell Hooks. She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Mr. Alford Young, Mr. Lewis Young, Mr. Walter Lee Young, Mr. John Lee Young, Mr. Ronnie Young, Mrs. Lillie Ola Myers, Mrs. Polly Mae Burney, Mrs. Dollie Mae Merritt, and Mrs. Gussie Reddick.

Mrs. Jessie Pearl Mccoy leaves to cherish her memories: seven children: Mr. Willie James Mccoy, Mrs. Easter Hayes, Mr. Robert (Bobby) Mccoy, Mr.Johnnie (Brenda) Mccoy, Mr. Leon (Vestella) Mccoy, Mrs. Lillie (Shareek) Jones, and Ms. Ola Mae Mccoy all of Americus, Ga; one brother, Mr. Dennis (Annie Pearl) Young, one sister Mrs. Johnnie Mae Hayes, both of Smithville, Ga; her sisters-in-law Mrs. Bobbie Lee Young of Smithville, Ga and Mrs. Vera Mccoy of Lee County Ga; 27 grandchildren, including the ones she raised like her own, Ms. Betty Mccoy, Mrs. Jennifer (Johnny) Guinn, Ms. Shaneice Mccoy, Ms. Shaniqua Bradley, Ms. Deandria Bradley, Ms. Alyssa Jones, Ms. Kiarra Mccoy all of Americus, Ga Ms. Qwatrice Mccoy of Florence, South Carolina and Ms. Diane Mccoy of Phoenix City, Alabama; 39 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including 3 dedicated neighbors/friends Ms. Alice Bradley, Ms. Sandra Bradley, and Mrs. Fannie Bradley all of Smithville, Ga also survive.
