Jessie Mae Williams was born in Lee County, Georgia on July 2, 1947, to the late Martha and Emmitt Davis, Sr.

She received her formal education in the Lee County School System and was active in various organizations, activities, and events.

A loving and strong woman of faith, Jessie Mae was a hard worker whose life was filled with service and dedication to her family, friends, and community.  She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and remained a faithful servant throughout life's journey.

Jessie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin with an endless reservoir of love for her family.  Her compassionate spirit, encouraging words, and kind deeds enriched the lives of all who knew her.  She was always available with a hug, a listening ear, or just to spend time with family and friends—especially her grandchildren who held the key to her heart.

On Friday, July 17, 2020, Jessie departed this earthly life leaving a void in the hearts of family who loved her dearly.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, eight siblings, and three grandchildren.

She leaves loving memories that will forever be cherished by her caring children, Patricia (Daniel) Douglas, Sara Hill, Sharon Mitchell, and Lonnie (Chinwae) Williams; siblings, Eva Stephens, Annie Rowe, Earl (Eva) Davis, Jerry Davis, Jennifer Dvis, and Martha Jackson; grandchildren, Joshua Harris, Ellis Morris, Corey Rutland, Jeffery Williams, Marquez Williams, Adriana Williams, Adrin Williams, Freladra McGowen, and Shankeyta Jeter; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
