Obituary

Jimmy Lee Johnson, son of the late Lela Mae Robinson and Nathaniel Johnson, was born in Terrell County, Georgia on April 9, 1950.

He received his formal education in the Terrell County School System where he participated in numerous school functions and activities.

From a very early age, Jimmy was immersed in the Christian community that would be his lifelong support.  As a youth, he professed his faith in Christ and united with the Sanders Gift Baptist Church of Sasser, Georgia.

Jimmy was an incredibly skilled carpenter whose craftmanship was put to task daily through his employment with Buddy Drawdy Construction for 37 years.  His expertise, workmanship, and professional ethics were second to none and he worked tirelessly to ensure that no task was left undone.

On Monday, April 22, 2019, Jimmy departed this earthly life.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Eddie Allen.

Fond memories will forever be cherished by his daughters, Chakeeta Boateng (Prince) of Gadsden, AL, Kawanis Sewell (Tiffany) and Montrail Johnson Dulcio (Maico) both of Atlanta, GA; a loving and devoted companion, Ruby Walker and her sons, Mike, Isreal, and Timmy; grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Nadine Bell, Bertha McIntyre, Robert Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Isiah Johnson, Michael Clark, Andrew Clark, Lucille Harden, and Annie Lois King; aunt and uncle, Earline Allen and Richard (Nellie) Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
