IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmy "Skeet"
Mosely
December 13, 1957 – July 13, 2022
Jimmy Mosely was born in Terrell County, Georgia on December 13, 1957. He was the beloved son of Lizzie Mae Paige.
Growing up in Albany, Jimmy received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System and graduated from Monroe High School in 1975. Throughout school, he was an adventurous young man with a zeal for new experiences and was actively involved in numerous school functions and activities while gaining valuable industrial and technical skills.
Early in life, Jimmy professed his faith and belief in Christ Jesus and united with the Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was a faithful member and served unfalteringly as an Usher, Crusader, and a Sunday School delegate at Union Meetings and Associations.
Believing strongly in loyalty and commitment to his country, Jimmy enlisted in the United States Army where he served with distinction and received numerus commendations for his dedication and valor. At the close of his tour of duty, he was honorably discharged and returned to civilian life where he began employment as a general laborer and construction worker. No matter what challenges faced him, he was always, positive, proactive, upbeat, hard-working, and pursued opportunities with vigor and determination.
Affectionately known as "Skeet", Jimmy was a true joy to everyone around him. He was patient and humble, had an unforgettable laugh and smile, treated everyone fairly, and would readily lend a hand to anyone in need. Skeet will be remembered for his love of family and friends, inspiration and guidance, and his tireless support of others.
On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, Jimmy peacefully transitioned from this earthly life at the Willson Hospice House. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Jason Mosely of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Precious memories will forever remain with his devoted mother, Lizzie M. Paige of Albany, GA; his son, Justin Mosely of Florida; four siblings, Sonja Paige of Atlanta, GA, Gerald (Valerie) Paige of Lithonia, GA, and Roderick (Stephanie) Paige and Bishop J.
