Joan Ellen Berry Johnson was born in Albany, Georgia on August 27, 1948. She was the beloved daughter and only child of the late
Emmanuel and Cecelia Berry.

She was educated in the Dougherty County School System, grad- uating from Monroe Comprehensive High School in 1965. Hailing from a family that valued higher education, Joan continued her quest for knowledge in Indiana where she earned an associate degree. She was an exceptionally talented young woman who took advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow.

Joan dearly loved the Lord and remained humble and prayerful in her daily walk.

Often described as a conscientious and persistent individual, Joan's employment with Proctor & Gamble was marked by hard work, high expectations, and unmatched integrity. Over the years, she worked hard to pursue excellence in her position as a millwright and welder.

Upon retirement, she was lauded as a highly skilled, loyal, and dedicated employee who never faltered in her duties and responsibilities.

An altruistic mother and grandmother, Joan had a quiet strength, never complained, always had a smile, and often sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. She had a big heart; gave of herself freely; loved unconditionally; and eagerly supported her children and grandchildren in all their endeavors.

Her devotion to family and friends was immeasurable. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, traveling, singing, helping others, and creating lasting
memories with friends and family.

On May 4, 2023, Joan transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest.

Cherished memories will forever remain with her loving children, Latoya Wilson, Sara Sheppard, and Bobby Leonardo Berry II; her
grandchildren, Emanuel, Calvin, Troy Jr., Bobby III, and Allyson; a very devoted and nurturing aunt who was like a mother, Polly
Cherry; a life-long and dedicated friend, Larry Arnold; a special and caring friend, Bessie Jenkins; and a host of cousins, extended
family, and friends.
