Obituary

John Lee Cauley was born in Albany, Georgia on July 19, 1957. He was the beloved son of the late Flossie Cauley.

He received his early childhood and secondary education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Dougherty
Comprehensive High School. While at Dougherty, John gained very valuable technical and industrial skills that sparked his interest in
building construction.

At a young age, John accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Throughout life's journey, he remained humble and prayerful in his daily walk.

An exceptionally conscientious, highly skilled, and hard working individual, John poured himself into his career in building construction. For many years, he was employed with various construction companies in the Southwest Georgia area and worked untiringly to ensure that every task was given his utmost attention and extreme care. He was a dedicated employee who never shied away from a challenge, never faltered in his duties and responsibilities, and always stayed the course to ensure that no task was ever left undone.

Devoted father, nurturing grandfather, committed brother, caring uncle, unforgettable cousin, and loyal friend, John took great pride in providing for his family and would do anything he could for someone in need. He was a very unique man whose life was filled with many
interesting experiences. John truly was a genuinely kind man with a heart of gold.

On September 1, 2023, John transitioned from this earthly life. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by several siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Loving memories will be forever cherished by his daughter, Oniya Cauley of Albany, GA; his grandsons, Belgium Fletcher, Jr. and Brice
Edwards both of Albany, GA; four siblings, Brenda (Gene) Blinstrup of Leesburg, GA, Geraldine (Curtis) Johnson and Joseph (Gloria),Cauley both of Albany, GA, and Stacy (Tina) Dearmon of Decatur, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and
