IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Andrew
Stanley
June 2, 2019 – June 5, 2019
John Andrew Stanley, the son of the late Willie Lee Stanley, Sr. and Lillie Comelia Stanley, was born in Albany, Georgia on January 2, 1968.
He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System and participated in numerous schools functions and activities.
At a very early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. In later years, he united with the Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. He was a dedicated member and took great pride in assisting with the upkeep of the church grounds until his health declined.
John was a persistent, hardworking individual who gave his best at whatever he did. For many years he was employed as a machine operator at Flint River Textiles . No matter what the task, he always stayed the course to ensure that nothing was left undone. Never satisfied with idleness, he utilized his landscaping skills over the years to provide lawn care services for various people in the community. John had a servant's heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand. In his leisure time, he delighted in "tinkering" with cars, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the outdoors with neighborhood children—fixing their bicycles or engaging them in a game of basketball or football. He was a very humble man who could always make you laugh or smile.
On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, he quietly transitioned from this earthly life to his eternal home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Ulysees Walker, Jr. and Sandra Denise Stanley.
Cherished memories will forever in the hearts of his loving siblings, Comelia Carr, Teresa Stanley, Jeanette Flowers, Willie Stanley, Jr., and Scott Dozier; his stepson, Breedlinn Breedlove; niece and nephews, Naketha Brown, Montavious (Tiffany) Stanley, and Contravis Stanley; great-niece and nephew, Kylah Denise Brooks Stanley and Mason Jordan Stanley; a host of cousins in Georgia and Florida; three lifelong friends, Morris Howard, Wilbert Burnes, and Jerome Williams ; and his extended families—Howard, James, Bynum, Smith, Ausby, Polite, Sumter, Walden, McGee, Saunders, Eiland, and Breedlove.
