Johnnie Lee Hooks was born to the late Cleotis and Jaunita Hooks on October 23, 1957.

He was a graduate of Early County High School in Blakely, Georgia. He also went to Troy State University in Troy, Alabama for two years. He came back to Blakely, Georgia and started working with a friend on appliances and he loved it. He started his own business (AAA Appliance Company) in Albany, Georgia over 30 years ago.

At an early age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Saint Paul Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Blakely, Georgia. Later he moved to Albany and did join another church continuing his walk with Christ.

Johnnie departed his earthly life on Thursday, March 6, 2025. He was  preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sister and daughter Jenesia Hooks (Jacksonville, Fla.)

He leaves to cherish his memories seven children, Ryan Hooks of Orlando, Florida, Britrtini Hooks of Jacksonville, Florida, Candace Hooks of Blakely, Georgia, Mary Hooks, Kimberly Hooks,    Johnnie Hooks Jr, Tyler Hooks, Stepsons Donterrius Bryant, Nashid Bryant all of Albany, Georgia. Six Grandchildren Sha'Nesia Dale and Destini Dale of Jacksonville, Florida, Takavian Brown, Cardeja Watts, Caitlyn Norris of Blakely, Georgia, Leilani Cooper of Albany, Georgia and one sister Sandra Martin of Blakely, Georgia. Host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
