IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Johnnie Mae
Mathis
March 17, 1942 – July 14, 2017
Johnnie Mae Mathis was born in Albany, Georgia on March 17, 1942, to the late Johnny Anderson and Mae Ella Riley. She attended the public schools of Dougherty County.
Johnnie Mae was a persistent, hardworking individual who was very passionate about her work. Over the years, she taught her children the value of hard work as she labored tirelessly at Palmyra Park Hospital for more than 20 years.
Throughout her life, she was a caring, sharing, kind, and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved deeply, laughed often, and lived life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her love of fishing, giving to others, and "speaking her mind."
On Friday, July 14, 2017, after her daughter gave her one last kiss and "I Love You," Johnnie Mae transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest. She was preceded in death by her son, William Kegler, Jr.
