Obituary

Johnny Clinton Jordan, son of the late John Mark Jordan and Shelly Jean Jones Jordan, was born in Albany, Georgia on April 14, 1959.


During the early years of his life, he received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System. He later completed his studies at the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield, Kentucky.


"Crow" as he was affectionately called, was a caring son who showed his love in many ways. He was one of those rare people who always had the interest of others at heart. His commitment to his parents and siblings was immeasurable and he truly treasured the time spent with them.


In the summer of 1984, Johnny met the love of his life, Jennifer Den-ise Whitehead. They shared a love that endured for 34 years and a devotion to one another that grew stronger with time. He was a dedi-cated father who loved without condition, encouraged his children to do the right things, and supported them in all of their endeavors. For more than 20 years, he was diligent in caring for the needs of his fam-ily through his employment with the City of Albany. No matter what the task, he took great pride in his work.


Johnny was a very outgoing individual who experienced life to the fullest. When in the midst of family and friends, he was always the "life of the crowd." His enthusiasm and exuberance were contagious and his sense of humor and laughter captured the attention of every-one around him. "Crow" will be remembered as a He had a kind-ness of heart that will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.


On Monday, February 11, 2019, Johnny departed this earthly life at the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Conrad Lance Jordan, Jr.


He leaves a lifetime of love and precious memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his beloved Jennifer Denise Whitehead of Albany, GA; four children, Kkyslir Magee, Jacobe Jordan, and Jamilia Jordan all of Albany, GA, and Terrishia (Ray) Jones of Jacksonville, FL; four siblings, Willie Jordan, Johnny Jordan, Emma Harris, and Tonya Hargrove all of Albany, GA; sisters-in-law, Janice Jordan, Judy Jordan, Sharon Randle, Brenda Whitehead, Jan Morris, Candice Williams, and Tameka Williams all of Albany, GA; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Williams, James Williams, Bobby Peterson, and Shelly Randle of Albany, GA; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; aunts an uncles; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
