Johnny Lee Kendrick, beloved son of the late Rubin and Anna Kendrick, was born in Lee County, Georgia on March 14, 1937.

He received his formal education in the Lee County School System.  At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Savior and remained prayerful throughout life's journey.

Johnny was a conscientious, hardworking father and grandfather who took great care in providing for the needs of his family through his employment at Cypress Pond Plantation.  He was a loyal, dedicated employee who tackled every task with equal importance and gave his BEST until his retirement.

A man of principle, truth, and simplicity, Johnny loved his family unconditionally; never met a stranger;  stood ready to help anyone in need; and always looked for the good in people.  Oftentimes, he could be found outside enjoying nature,  gardening, or grilling; or in the kitchen cooking a soulful feast for friends and family to enjoy.  He will be remembered fondly for his kindness, generosity, and supportive words of encouragement.

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, Johnny departed this earthly life peacefully at Pruitt Nursing Home.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Annie Ruth Kendrick.

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of his children, Valerie (Ollie) Harris and Lee Corey of Albany, GA; stepchildren, Tammy (Fred) Bullock, Ronnie (Rhonda) Kendrick, Eric Willis, Veronica Willis, Kaya (Brandon) Mitchell, and Alisha (Tony) Hunt all of Albany, GA, and Johnny (Dorothy) Kendrick of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, CANDICE Kendrick, Jamal Harris, and Eric Harris; step-grandchildren, Tony Lewis, Tony Hunt, Kiera Hunt, Aliyah Hunt, Cameron Mitchell, and Kayisha Hunt; great grandchildren, My'Asia Kendrick, and Nassir Adams; a special niece, Nancy Floyd; sister-in-law, Juanita Kendrick; a very special friend, Eddie Ruth Willis; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
