Obituary

Johnny Malone, beloved son of Johnnie Malone and Sally Woolbright, was born on January 1, 1960.

During the early years of his life, he was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Albany High School.  While at Albany High, he was a member of the Indians Track and Field Team; excelled academically; and received numerous awards throughout his school years.

At a young age, he surrendered his life to Christ and united with the House of God Saints in Christ under the leadership of the late    Bishop J. L. Litman.

"Boot" as he was affectionately called by friends and family, lived a full and enjoyable life.  He had a special way of drawing people to him and becoming a part of their lives.  Boot had a mind that never ceased questioning, a serious twinkle in his eyes, a fearless and loving spirit, and a heart that opened freely to his family and friends.  He was an incredible son, a loving father, a devoted brother, the best uncle anyone could hope for, a caring cousin, and an awesome friend.  He will long be remembered for his calm spirit and kindness.

On Saturday, November 2, 2019, Johnny answered the Master's call to eternal rest.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Malone; and his grandparents, Johnnie Mae Woolbright, Robert Woolbright, John L. Malone, Mae Ola Cuff, and Richard Cuff.

Cherished memories will live forever in the hearts of his parents,  Sally Woolbright and Johnnie Malone; children, Shanelle Malone, Mary Malone, and Brandon Malone; siblings, Michael (Kwanis) Malone, Donald (Denise) Malone, Lavetta (Anthony) Butts, and Gwendolyn Malone all of Albany, GA, and Kendra Kelly of Tallahassee, FL; aunts and uncles, Missionary Ann Davis, Rosie McNalley of    Brooklyn, NY, Christine (Kirk) Floyd of Savannah, GA, Joseph Cuff, Richard Cuff, and Tom  (Donna) Woolbright of Conyers, GA; a special friend who he referred to as a sister, Michelle Tomlin; great uncles and aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends .
