Obituary

James Tony Lennear was born on July 29, 1939, in Morgan, Georgia.  He was the son of the late Clara Mae Johnson and Eddie Lee Hall.

During the early years of his life, he attended school in the Calhoun County School System.

James was a hard worker who gave his very best at everything he did.  For numerous years, he was employed in the pulpwood industry where he labored untiringly and took great pride in his work.

J.T., as he was affectionately called, was a good natured, generous man with a big heart and a pleasure to be around.  He believed deeply in unconditional love, enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, treasured spending time with family and friends, and delighted in helping others.  His love, friendship, commitment, and encouraging words will always be remembered.

On Saturday, September 28, 2020, James departed this earthly life.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Helen James.

Loving memories will forever remain with his children, Antonio Williams, James Williams, Jermaine Williams, Synthia (Dewayne) Curry, Annette (Donald) McKay, and Barbara Lennear; aunts, Ethel Mae Lee and Grady Hall; uncle, Jimmie (Annie Ree) Lennear; 21 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
