Obituary

Juanita Sherman was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 3, 1957, to Virginia Sherman Jones.

Her education began in Leesburg, Georgia at the Lee County Training School.  Upon relocating to Albany, she attended Lincoln Heights Elementary, River Road Junior High, and Monroe High School, graduating in 1975.  She attended Albany State College and Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida where she earned her certification in Child Care.  Juanita was employed at Bay Medical Childcare Center for many years before retiring in 2011 due to health.

On Monday evening, October 25, 2021, our dearly beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend was called from labor to reward.  She was preceded in death by her older daughter, Zsanobia Foster; sisters, Deborah Taylor and Wanda Daniels; great grandson, Grayson McPhee; and her biological father, William Wright, Sr.

Precious memories of Juanita "Beana" will forever be cherished by her daughter, Topeaka (Edward) McPhee of Columbus, GA; her grandchildren, TyAndre "Terell" Sherman of Panama City, FL, Tiana McPhee of Columbus, GA, Shara Foster, Olivia Fisher, and Janna Foster all of Lexington Park, MD, and Derrick Williams of Accokeek, MD; parents, Terry and Virginia Jones; siblings, Teresa (Quincy) Stafford of Alabaster, AL, and Terri Jackson, Willie Taylor, William (Ethel) Wright, Jr., Sheila Wright, and Michael Wright; uncle and aunts, Charlie Jones, Bettie Sherman, Julia Mae Bell, Edith Singleton, Gracie Ball, and Ruby (Johnny) Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

A special shout out to Juanita's posse, New Bethel Church family from Panama City—Pastor Pernell (Donna) Smith, Andrea Owens White, Sabrina Owens, Elaine Clark, "Crook", Kenneth McClany, "June Bug", Thomas Chester, Charlie Thomas, Donell Grier, and Eddie Bell.  To everyone that was a part of our dear sister's life we are Grateful, we are Grateful, we are Grateful.
