Jurisma Noel Porter was born in Albany, Georgia on July 5, 1987. She was the loving daughter of Jurenee and Beverly Porter.
She attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Monroe Comprehensive High School where she was active in numerous school activities.
"Noey" as she was affectionately called, was a very unique individual who embraced life experiences with open arms. She always had a positive attitude, was quick to smile and laugh, and she had a special way of getting to know people and becoming a part of their lives. Family and friends were among her greatest cherished gifts and she took great pleasure in spending time with them. Noey loved her profession as a hair stylist and was very passionate about making people beautiful.
On Wednesday, October 3, 2018, she answered her final call and quietly entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Bessie Gilbert and Grace Brownlee; and Jackie Taylor and Alonzo Porter.
Precious memories will forever be cherished by her parents, Jurenee and Beverly Porter; sisters, LeShana Gilbert and Tidisha Gilbert; nephews, Ja'monzea Burks and Jalandon Burks; niece, Kennedi Gilbert; aunts, Melissa Gilbert, Renee Bailey, Valarie Roberts, Tanya Johns, Michelle Brownlee, Semora Johns, Debra Price; uncles, Larry (Gwendolyn) Gilbert, Lamontra (Angela) Johns; a devoted fiancé, Rodrick Watkins; a very special friend, Chiquita Chaney; goddaughter, A'Miracle Moore; and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
