Kathy Jean Walker Wilson, beloved daughter of the late Walter Lee Walker, Sr. and Alma Jean Toombs, was born in Miami, Florida on February 21, 1965.  She was the third of five children.

She was educated in the Dade County School System and garnered much from her educational experiences.  Throughout school, she was a very  conscientious student with a deep passion for learning and was a ray of sunshine to teachers, fellow students and close friends.

Kat, as she was endearingly called, was united in marriage to Walter Lee Walker, Sr. who preceded her in death.  She was a loving and caring mother who looked well to the ways of her household.  As a meticulous homemaker, she diligently cared for the needs of her  family.  She was blessed not only with children, but grandchildren who were a source of joy and pride in her life.  In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, singing, and cooking.

Always gentle and kind, Kathy was a selfless person who saw the  beauty in all things; believed strongly in unconditional love; stood ready to help anyone in need; and delighted in spending time with family and friends. Kat gave so much of herself and never expected anything in return.  She had a wonderful way of connecting with people and encouraging their hearts.  Her warm smile, positive attitude, intense strength, and humble spirit will long be remembered .

Kathay answered the Master's call to eternal rest on September 23, 2023.   In addition to her parents and her husband, she was  preceded in death by her son, Dennis Walker; and one sister, Genetra Toombs.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by her fiancée, Jim McCullough;  her children, Jeffrey (Crustal) Walker, Ranisha (Bobby) Jones-Leveston, Alma (Sinclair) Tolbert, and Lynise Wilson; four stepchildren, Demetrius Sharpe, Stevie Wilson, Stevis Wilson, and Rashaundra Adams; grandchildren, Ania Walker, Tamia Walker, Dennis Walker, Jr., Ariyanna Whitfield, Morris Hicks, Moriah Hicks, A'Mori Hicks, Isaiah Tolbert, and Legend Tolbert; siblings, Walter Walker, Terrence (Patricia) Walker, Cleon (Karen) Johnson, Kevin (Pamela) Walker, Cornell (Sharera) Walker, Tina (Travis) Jackson, Patricia King, and Myeekia Walker; sisters-in-law, Angela Hines and Veronica Murphy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
