We thank God for allowing us to share the life and love of our beloved mother, Mrs. Katie Keaton. Katie was born January 15, 1924 in Lee County, Georgia. On November 2, 2020, however, God put her on a pedestal and slowly moved her to a life of peace in heaven. Her mother, Mrs. Mollie Pickle, her stepfather, Mr. Johnson Pickle, and three of her children, Mrs. Delories Miller (Canton, Ohio), Mr. Willie Keaton (Albany, Georgia), and Mr. Shelley Keaton (Albany, Georgia) were all standing at heaven's gate to welcome her home.

When Katie was quite young, her family moved to Dougherty   County, where she met the love of her life, Mr. Lorenzo Keaton, Sr. They were eventually married, and God blessed them with eight children (4 boys and 4 girls).

K atie worked at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, Georgia, where she was often praised by Phoebe's patients and her colleagues for her diligent work and her sweet personality. After 30 years, she retired from Phoebe and pursued her hobby, which was cooking. Until she became ill, she often cooked delicious meals and different pastries for her family and friends.

The highlight of Katie's life was when she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior, and joined Beulah Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. At Beulah, she worked faithfully as an usher for many years.

K atie leaves to cherish her memory, five children: Dr. Jesse Keaton (Mary) of Albany GA., Dr. Mollie Keaton (Atlanta, GA.), Dr. Loras Keaton (Atlanta, GA.), Mrs. Grace Williams (Albany, Ga.), and Mr. Lorenzo Keaton, II (Faye) of Albany, GA.; one loving brother, Mr. Benjamin (Catherine) Thomas (Albany, Ga.); two other sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Taylor (Philadelphia, Pa.), and Ms. Dorothy Keaton (Albany, Ga.); a second daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Keaton (Albany, Ga.), and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
