IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kawjalym Chappell
Kalip-Harris
December 16, 1965 – January 29, 2022
Kawjalym Chappell Kalip Harris was born in Albany, Georgia on December 16, 1965, to the late Elevenia Kalip Lewis. She was called home to her final resting place on January 29, 2022.
She received her primary and secondary education in the Dougherty County School System. Kawjalym was a considerate, attentive young lady with a yearning to be of service and help others. She attended Darton College where she earned an Associate degree in Nursing, and then matriculated at Valdosta State University for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
In 1986, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Henry Harris, Jr. Their union endured for 35 years as they honored their vows to love and cherish each other. Kawjalym was a loving wife and caring mother who looked well to the ways of her household and ate not the bread of idleness. For more than 30 years, she demonstrated excellence through her lifelong contribution to the field of nursing. Throughout her career, she was very conscientious in serving her patients with dignity, respect, and true compassion. She had a natural gift for serving and making a difference in the lives of many people.
A very outgoing and jovial individual, Kawjalym had a big heart and a welcoming spirit. She believed deeply in unconditional love and stood ready to help anyone in need—always with a smile and never asking anything in return. Her friendliness and kindness to all people and her devotion to family and friends are lasting tributes to her heart and soul. In her leisure she enjoyed fishing, cooking, and a great girls night. She will be remembered as an awesome, wonderfully made woman of God.
She leaves a legacy of caring and love that will be forever cherished by her beloved husband, Henry Harris, Jr. of Albany, GA; a loving daughter and three sons, Deshundre (Kerry) Wilson, Henry "Larry" Harris III, Henry "Jermiche" Harris IV, and Brandall Harris all of Albany, GA; granddaughters, Camille Wilson, Chloe Wilson, Cari Wilson, and Z'naysha Harris; one aunt, Ruth Ellen Smith of Albany, GA; father- and mother-in-law, Henry Harris, Sr. and Gracie Lee Harris; brother-in-law, Wayne (Stephanie) Harris; sisters-in-law, Sheila (Jesse) Freeman and Chiniqua Gainer; two nephews, Jesse E.
