IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth C.
Foster
September 11, 1953 – February 6, 2022
Kenneth Foster (Kent) departed life on February 6, 2022, at 3:30 AM. His passing brought an end to a life of "having it my way."
Kent was born September 11, 1952, in Blakely, Early County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Eddie and Evelyn Foster. At an early age, he accepted Christ at Mt. Olive Baptist Church and later transferred his membership to Pleasant Grove AME Church.
He attended Washington High School followed by a very proud military service record in the United States Army where he served one tour in Vietnam. After the Army, Kent returned to Georgia and worked as a diesel mechanic until retirement. He then furthered his education, earning a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
Kent was full of life, unapologetic, unwavering in his opinions, and he lived life to the fullest on his terms and advised everyone else to do the same. We will miss his encouragement during hard times as well as those amazing moments of, "he really said that!" Over the years, it became well known that Kent made his peace and was prepared to make his transition, which he did on February 6. He was preceded in death by his son, Kerry Middlebrooks and grandson Z'mari Tarrun Mitchell.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Elizabeth (Faye) Foster; seven children that he was very proud of, Mency Beach of Atlanta, GA, Zandra Foster of Tampa, FL, Shernail Foster--Goggans (Avery) of Stone Mountain, GA, Taron Beach of Decatur, GA, Raymond Rowe of Albany, GA, and Lawrence Rowe of Albany, GA; twenty-one grandchildren and three great grandchildren; siblings, Evelyn (Jeannette), Ronald (Bubba), Jessie (Shug), Belva (Bell), Sandria (San), Deborah (Bo), Eddie (Mott), Victoria (Vic) and Maurice (Jimmy); a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins; a special deacon/brother, Perry Hutchins; and four very special friends who drove for him and accompanied him to appointments, William Davis, Alfonso Moss, Jerry Jones, and Gloria Mike.
To all his friends and family, far and near, thank you for the love and friendship showered upon Kent throughout the years!
