Kenneth Jerome McAfee was born in Bainbridge, Georgia on October 5, 1951.  He was the eldest son of the late Clarence and Deloris McAfee.

He was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe High School in 1970.  Throughout his school years, Kenneth was an enthusiastic, free-spirited student who bravely trod to the beat of his own drum.

Kenny Mac, as he was endearingly called by family and friends, dearly loved the Lord and remained prayerful throughout life..  He knew that God was his refuge and strength, and often  touted,   "God's got me."

A man of many talents and passions, Kenneth was engaged in diverse work experiences for several years.  However, his great love for food led him to his true calling and profound career in food service.  Kenneth quickly grasped culinary concepts that allowed him to create bold and memorable flavors that were on the cutting edge of culinary trends throughout his employment.  Yes, he was a true "master" of his trade!

Loving father, nurturing grandfather, unfailing brother, awesome uncle, committed cousin, and loyal friend, Kenneth embraced life with open arms.  His engaging personality touched the lives of people around him in a very special way.  Family was at the center of his life and he truly enjoyed every moment spent with them.  Not only did he enjoy cooking,  Kenneth was also a die-hard LA Lakers fan and devoted much of his time cheering them on to victory.

On August 2, 2023, Kenneth transitioned from this earthly life.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother,    Rodrick McAfee.

Loving memories will forever remain with his children,  Stacey (Kim) Willis, Tempie (Shonda) Willis, Kenisha (Timothy) Wimberly, Stephanie Willis, Kenlonis (Cristy) Walls, Stephanie (Derrick) Roberts, Kristen McAfee, Mytoyia McAfee, Kenneth J. McAfee, Jr., Jeremiah (Daniell) McAfee, and Gromoski (Sonya) Jones; siblings, Harold (Betty) McAfee, Michael McAfee, Stuart (Sonia) McAfee, Randy (Jamie) McAfee, Greg McAfee, and Tynese Jones; 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
