Obituary

Kimberly Schwann Collins, daughter of Delois Wimberly Martin, was born in Camilla, Georgia on July 9, 1976.

She received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Albany High School. Throughout school, she was a very inquisitive young lady who garnered much from her educational experiences.

From a very young age, Kimberly was nurtured in the Word of God. She began attending Antioch Baptist Church in Camilla as a baby with her mother and other family members. As she continued her journey with the Lord in adulthood, she remained a faithful servant and never ceased to give God praise for the blessings in her life.

Kimberly was a mild-mannered, good-hearted individual with an endless reservoir of love for her family and friends. She had a spirit of sunshine, humor, and laughter that could be felt by everyone around her. To know her was to truly love her. She had a special way of getting to know people and becoming a part of their lives. Spending time with family and friends was a great source of joy for Kimberly. She was outgoing and caring, loved unconditionally, and her enthusiasm and exuberance were contagious and memorable. Kimberly was the kind of person that anyone would be proud to call daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, or friend. She was truly an angel on earth who left an indelible impression on all of our lives, especially her cousin Corey with whom she shared a very special bond.

On October 10, 2022, Kimberly transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Edgar J. Martin, Sr.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by her mother, Delois Wimberly Martin; brother, Matthew J. Martin; stepbrothers, Stuart J. (Lynn) Martin of Birmingham, AL and Edgar J. Martin, Jr. of Albany, GA; aunts, Lillie M. (Ronnie Sr.) Saxon and Barbara J. Wimberly both of Camilla, GA; uncles,
Willie B. Wimberly of Camilla, GA, George W. (Margie) Wimberly of Orlando, FL, and John W. (Joann) Wimberly of Macon, GA; a special cousin, Corey F. Wimberly of Macon, GA; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends. We will miss you our QUEEN!
