IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kimberly Lavette
Holsey
May 27, 1973 – May 11, 2023
Kimberly Lavette Holsey, beloved daughter of Janice Holsey, was born May 27, 1973 in Albany, Georgia.
She was educated in the Dougherty County School System, including Albany High School where she was actively involved in numerous student organizations and activities. Throughout school, Kimberly was an adventurous young lady with a zeal for learning and new experiences. Later, as she prepared to enter the workforce, she completed the requirements to earn her Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Kimberly was the definition of a hard worker. She was a conscientious, diligent, and persistent individual whose driving skills were put to task daily in her employment with Western Express Trucking Company. Distance did not matter; the weather never held her back; meeting deadlines was never an issue; and she never shied away from a challenge. Kimberly was an inspiring example of a worker who was totally committed to her profession—one who stayed the course to get the job done in a timely and efficient manner.
Simply a joy to be around, Kimberly was a very genuine, kind-hearted, simplistic person who embraced life's experiences with open arms. She never met a stranger, could converse with anyone who came into her life, and felt most content when helping others. She was truly dedicated to her family and never missed an opportunity to bond and spend quality time with them. Whether on the road or in local stores, Kimberly enjoyed endless hours of shopping for stylish apparel that made her a true "fashionista." She also enjoyed reading and writing. Kimberly was a one-of-a-kind daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, fiancé, and friend who left an eternal footprint in the hearts of all who loved her dearly.
On May 11, 2023, Kimberly parked her rig and shut the engine down, as she transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest and peace. She was preceded in death by her sister, Catesha Holsey.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by her mother, Janice Holsey; siblings, Michael Coleman, Derrick Holsey, and Timothy Spurlin; her beloved fiancé, Jonathan Duncan; godchild, Landon Brow; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends; and her precious canine fur baby, Kilo.
