King Edward Kendrick was born on November 14, 1945, in Newton Georgia.  He was the youngest son of the late Virgil and Paralee Kendrick.  Growing up with seven siblings, Walter, Colman, Isaac Frankie, Mary, Daisy, and Louella, King developed an abiding love for his family.

From a teen, he possessed strong work ethics and a deep sense of dedication and commitment. King was employed with Albany Water, Gas & Light for 23 years before retiring as a Heavy Machine Operator.

A loving husband to Cassandra Kendrick, King was a pillar of strength and support for his wife.  He was a devoted father who was always there to offer guidance, love, and hearty laughter.  He cherished family; his presence and his sense of humor brought warmth and joy to everyone around him.

King Edward Kendrick left this world peacefully on August 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at 400 Pinson Road.  In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Martin and Stephen Kendrick.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cassandra Kendrick; his children, Mattie (James) Burton, Travis (Veronica) Foster, and Kentoroius (Selena) Kendrick; children from his first marriage, Terry (Diedre) Kendrick, Vincent Kendrick, Odessa (Bobby) Mosely, and Anton McGil; a stepdaughter, Marinda Allen; foster sons Aidan Green and Jaden Green; 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
