IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kipp Marquel
Ross
March 4, 1994 – August 25, 2017
Kipp Marquel "Kidd" Ross was a product of the proud parents of Lenita Davis Pierre and Hubert Ross, Sr., along with his stepfather, Andrice Pierre. His sunrise began in Albany, Dougherty County, Georgia on March 4, 1994, and sunset on August 25, 2017, in Albany, Georgia.
He and his parents attended the Rhema Word Cathedral most of his childhood days. His Christian life began at Rhema during Youth Camp where he accepted Jesus as his Savior at a very tender age. Through the years, he was actively involved in the Youth Camp and Youth Ministry.
Kipp received his educational training in the Dougherty and Lee County School Systems. Throughout his elementary and middle school years, he played football, basketball, and softball. He attended Albany High School and later transferred to Lee County High School, graduating in 2013. While in 10th grade, he participated in the Young Marines for one year. After graduation, he continued his education at Albany Technical College and earned certification in the area of Automotive Collision Repair.
While matriculating in college, Kipp began his professional career at the Marine Corps Logistics Base as a painter. In later years, he was employed as a laborer with the Dougherty County Pubic Works Department until his demise.
Whenever you saw Kipp, you saw a man with a smile; a man who was mild-mannered; and a man with a tender heart. He loved children and would always do things to help them. He was a compassionate person who had a fondness and kindness for animals—especially cats, dogs, and rabbits. One of the greatest joys of his life was spending time with his mother. He was definitely a "mama's boy." Over the years, Kipp developed a love for the motorcycle, and spent a lot of time riding with his Uncle John, Jr.; his special friend, Denzel Mozley; his buddies and pals; and even his grandmother. He was always cautious and careful on his bike and observed all the safety rules while riding. He was a member of DA Mob of Albany Motorcycle Club where he has given he nickname, "Kidd".
Kipp leaves to mourn his passing and cherish fond memories his parents, Lenita D. (Andrice) Pierre and Hubert Ross, Sr.; seven siblings, Kendrick Ross, Hubert Ross, Jr., Johntavious Ford, Jeremiah Robinson, Kawajalein Ross, Nina R. Knighton, and Bianca Pierre; maternal and paternal grandparents, Deloris and John E. Bolden, Sr. and Ruby Ross; great grand-aunt, Reverend Dr. Harriett S. Gainer; five uncles, John E. (Bessie) Bolden, Jr., Gary Jefferies, Keith, Kevin, and Mark; six aunts, Alexandra (Zandy), Kristy, Shawanna, Linda, JoAnn and Adrianna; girlfriend and baby girl, Bershaun Benton and Ze'Khari Williams; four close and very dear friends, Eddie Thornton, Addontis Battle, Denzel Mosley, and Rashida Hill; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Kipp has been welcomed home and reunited with his brother, Demarcus Wright; and his paternal grandfather, Joel Ross.
