Kiwanis LaTrease Mosley Brown , beloved daughter of the late Adonis and Carolyn Mosley, was born in Albany, Georgia on September 14, 1971.

She attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Dougherty High School where she was active in numerous school organizations and activities.

From a youth, Kiwanis was nurtured in the Word of God and she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age.  She was a faithful member of Raines Baptist Church in Terrell County for many years, and  readily assisted wherever needed.  She was a vessel who was deeply rooted and grounded in the Lord; who loved her church family immensely; and who was strong in character and Christian values.

She was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Tommie Lee Brown, Sr.  Their bond endured for 27 years as they honored their vows to love and cherish each other.  As a loving wife, devoted mother, and meticulous homemaker, her diligence in caring for the needs of her family was unwavering.  Kiwanis was outspoken, patient, supportive, encouraging, and kind.  She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family.

Devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and loyal friend, Kiwanis was a very genuine, kind-hearted person who was a joy to be around.  She was an excellent cook and knew how to bring people together around the dinner table.  Her home was always open to family, friends, and anyone in need.  You couldn't know her without being inspired by her love and devotion to her family, friends, church, and community.  She will be dearly missed.

On October 6, 2019 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Kiwanis answered the call to eternal rest.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jermaine Mosley; and her brother, Patrick Mosley

Loving memories will forever be cherished by her beloved husband, Tommie Lee Brown, Sr.; four children, Trevena Mosley, Anneshia Brown, Eric Mosley, and Tommie Lee Brown, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Minnie Lee Mosley; two brothers, Brinson Mosley of Huntsville, AL and Eric (Sherry) Mosley of Albany, GA; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a long-time friend of many years, Vera Lewis.
