Kyle Hodge, son of Margie Collins and the late Rickike Hodge, was born in Thompson, Georgia on April 2, 1978.  During the early years of his life, Kyle's grandmother, Ola Mae Bell, provided a loving home for him that was filled with strong values as she nurtured and cared for him as her own son.

Growing up in Albany, Georgia, Kyle was educated in the public schools of Dougherty County.  He was a 1996 graduate of  Dougherty Comprehensive High School having actively participated in various student organizations and activities..  He continued his education at Georgia State University and earned a bachelor's degree.

Often described as a conscientious and persistent individual, Kyle engaged in various diverse work experiences over the years.  Although his work proved to be rewarding, his passion and deep love for educating young minds never left him. Kyle eventually accepted employment with the Dekalb County School System where he was relentless in guiding, cultivating, and inspiring, students in his role as a substitute teacher.

Loving son, committed brother, one-of-a-kind uncle, awesome nephew, caring cousin, and loyal friend, Kyle cherished every moment of his life and greeted each day with a smile. His love for family and friends was infinite and he always stood ready to lend a helping hand—never asking anything in return.  He will long be remembered as a good-hearted individual whose warm smile, encouraging words, and keen sense of humor touched the lives and hearts of many people.  .

On November 1, 2023, Kyle transitioned from this earthly life to his eternal home.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Ola Mae Bell.

Cherished memories will forever remain with his mother, Margie Collins, siblings, Katrina and Terry; stepmother, Gloria Mapp; his prized puppy; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
