With heartfelt respect and loving remembrance, we honor the life and legacy of Lakeshia L. Canty, who peacefully departed this world on July 25, 2026, at the age of 50. Born on August 14, 1975, Lakeshia’s life was a testament to strength, kindness, and grace.

The community is invited to pay their respects and honor Lakeshia’s memory at the viewing on July 31, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Martin Luther King Memorial Chapel, located at 1908 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Albany, GA. A funeral service will be held in loving remembrance on August 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Doretha H. Payne Chapel at Martin Luther King Funeral Home, also at 1908 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Albany, GA. Following the service, Lakeshia will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memory Gardens, located at 2120 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Albany, GA.
