IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Larry
Hunt
March 16, 1955 – February 18, 2024
The season of life for Larry Hunt began in Sylvester "Red Rock", Georgia on March 16, 1955. He was the loving son of the late Johnny and Arvella Hunt.
He was educated in the Dougherty County School System, including Dougherty High School. Throughout his school years, Larry was a lively, energetic student who was always ready for adventure and actively participated in various student-centered activities.
Larry's work ethics developed very early while employed for more than 30 years as a custodian with the Dougherty County School System. He was a loyal, dedicated employee who approached every challenge with equal measures of enthusiasm and serious focus; took pride in his work; and gave his best no matter what the task.
After an astounding romance and courtship, Larry married the love of his life, Claudia Seibert. Together, they built a family and home that was a haven of love, joy, and laughter. Larry was a devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather whose role as a family man was one he cherished above all others. Family was the center of his life and unequivocally stole his heart.
Larry was a good guy who had a big heart for all things and found joy in every circumstance. His enormous smile and great sense of humor had a way of lighting up a room; and there was never a dull moment when he was around. Not only was he a complete family man, he was also a good neighbor and a loyal friend who always stood ready to lend a helping hand. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
On February 18, 2024, Larry faced the sunset of his earthly season. Although his physical being is at rest, we are still clothed by his mountainous impact and protection. In addition to his loving parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, John L. (Lula) Hunt, Rudolph (Gladys) Hunt, Robert L. (Wilma) Hunt, Clifford (Wylene) Hunt, Eddie L. (Dorothy) Hunt, Wayne (Evelyn) Hunt, and Forest (Quetta) Hunt.
Cherished memories will forever remain with his beloved wife of 33 years, Claudia Seibert. Hunt; his daughter, Gwendolyn (Teddy) Searles; three grandchildren, JaMarcus Braswell, Jacobi Braswell, and Jameshia Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
