IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Larry
Perry
December 21, 1953 – August 15, 2020
Larry Perry, son of the late Arthur Richardson and Mary Perry Kendrick, was born in Albany, Georgia on December 21, 1953.
He attended the public schools of Dougherty County and actively participated in numerous student organizations, activities and sporting events. He was a very determined young man who never shied away from a challenge.
At an early age, Larry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church and remained prayerful throughout life's journey.
Larry believed strongly in allegiance to his country and answered the call to military duty. He enlisted in the United States Army where he became a "soldier to the core." The military suited his sense of order and his code of loyalty, and the discipline and patriotism he learned in the Army never left him. Having served his country with distinction as he advanced through the ranks, he received an honorable discharge at the close of his tour of duty. After returning to civilian life, he joined the ranks of employees with the City of Albany, working tirelessly for innumerable years.
Often described as a quiet and humble man, Larry was profoundly devoted to his family. He was an incredible brother, uncle, and cousin who loved the people in his life unconditionally. He will be remembered for his kind spirit and good heart.
On August 15, 2020, Larry's earthly journey ended as he entered into eternal rest.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by his siblings, Gwendolyn Perry of Leesburg, GA and James (Brenda) Perry of Albany, GA; nieces and nephews, Myeshia Perry, Tyeshia (Marquis) Perry, Jamisha (Robert) Ware, Ameena Ball, Jaleel Perry, Ishmael Perry, Jamil Perry, and James Robert Green; and a host of other relatives and friends.
