L arry Taylor, Sr., son of the late Willie Teemer, Sr. and Mattie Ruth Taylor, was born in Albany, Georgia on September 6, 1955.

He attended the public schools of Dougherty County where he was active in various student events and activities.  In later years, he accepted Christ as his Savior and remained prayerful throughout life's journey.

Over the years, Larry took pride in the services that he provided in the construction industry.  He was a very conscientious worker who was totally committed to his job and looked upon each task with equal measure.

Larry believed strongly in family ties and responsibilities, savored the time spent with his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews.  He had a great sense of humor and could always find the silver lining in any situation.  Larry saw all people as important and worthy of friendship and compassion.  When in his presence, there was never a dull moment and he enjoyed making people laugh.  He will be remembered for his kindness to all people—family, friends, and strangers.

O n January 3, 2022, Larry departed this earthly life Pruitt Health in Ashburn, Georgia.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry Taylor, Jr.; and his brother, Bobby Lee Taylor, Sr.

Memories of his life will be forever celebrated by his children, Latosha (James) Strum of Atlanta, GA, Lashonda Phillips, Tienesha Taylor, Ninsha Shirelles, Roshanda Taylor, Marcus Taylor, Marco Taylor, and Reginald Taylor; numerous siblings; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
