Latha Emogene Jackson Hall Glover born September 8, 1933 and departed this life in the city of New Orleans on September 7, 2019 after a weeklong Baptist Convention. Her motto was For Rest of my life I'll serve the Lord and that she did.
She was born to the late C. J. Jackson and the late Percy Williams Jackson in Albany, Georgia. She was educated in the Dougherty County School System graduating in 1950 from the Old Carver (Monroe) High School. She excelled in track and broad jumping.
She moved to Jacksonville, Florida and met and married William Hall, Jr. and their union lasted one year. In 1961 she met and married the love of her life Robert "Bobby" Glover of Inwood, New York after being together for 40 years they were united in holy matrimony and stayed together for 20 more years before he died December 24, 2018. They resided at the same address for 60 years 73 Church Street, Inwood, New York. Both were church going people. Latha sang in the choir and was a Sunday School Teacher while "Bobby" was an usher. She was affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Lawrence, New York where Rev. Wilbert Pharr was pastor. She will surely be missed.
Latha was preceded in death by her parents, Dea. C. J. Jackson and Sis. Percy W. Jackson; brothers, Charles Jackson, Walter Henry Jackson, Raymond Jackson and Herman Jackson; daughter, Beverly I. Styles; husband, Robert "Bobby" Glover; and grandchildren, Otis Boyd, Jr. and Latha K. Jones.
Celebrating her life is one sister, Ceola E. Sims; children Sharon (Peaches) O'Banyoun, P. Yolanda (Cherry) Bailey (David), Jasmin (Cookie) Boyd, Malcolm C. Hall, Sr., (Gloria), Norine (Dee) Dublin (Gary) Tracy Lynn Styles (Kelvin); grandchildren, Michell Blue (James), Jayson Logan (Amanda), Phillip Logan (Keysha), FeNorris Styles, Tavis Styles (Monique), Telly Styles, Raymond Styles (Chris), LaShonda Cooper, Dorothy Styles, Sherman Cooper (Denise), April Jones, Lakebia Dent, George O'Banyoun (Lisa), Malcolm Hall, Jr., Montreal Hall, Delton Styles, Spencer Boyd, and Lasonya Johnson, special niece, Rilla Williams; two special cousins, Rovilla Wilson and Arcelius "Junebug" Scott; special friends and church members, Adrianne Green ad Elnora Watson; the lone survivor of the migration crew to New York, Bertha Lewis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
