IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lavoski
Canty
October 14, 1976 – January 4, 2024
Lavoski Monsanto Canty was born in Albany, Georgia on October 14, 1976. He was the beloved son of the late Elsie Canty Gainer and Fanoris Billy Jackson. After the death of his parents during the early years of his life, he was nurtured and cared for by his aunts, Patricia Jackson and Shenita White.
He was educated in the Dougherty County School System, including Albany High School. Throughout school, he actively participated in various school activities and events.
Lavoski was a persistent, hard working individual who took great care in providing for his family through his employment as a professional painter. Not only did he take great pride in his work, but he truly relished the friends that he made during his employment. His expertise in the industry, creative abilities, and work ethics yielded him the reputation of being a "top notch" painter throughout Southwest Georgia.
Known for his mischievous grin and unique sense of humor, Lavoski had a big heart for all things in life and found joy in every circumstance. Anyone who knew him would agree that he was straight-forward, unpretentious, and strong-willed; but he was also the voice of calm and common logic. He laughed often, readily helped others, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.
On January 4, 2024, Lavoski transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest. Although his departure leaves a void, his spirit will live on in those left behind.
Fond memories will forever be cherished by his children, Tykimberly Douglas, Kenterrious West, Zakibia Peterson Golden, Calandria Canty, Nore Duke Rowe, and Trovaski Canty; aunts/mothers, Patricia Jackson and Shenita White; stepmother, Janet Jackson; siblings, Rodrick Canty, Latongela (Tony) Potts, Fanoris L.
