IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lawrence
Seay
August 24, 1963 – April 4, 2023
Lawrence Seay was born in Albany, Georgia on August 24, 1963. He was the son of the late William H. Seay and Nadine Dunnaway Seay Johnson.
He was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Westover High School in 1982. Throughout his school years, he was a very enthusiastic, free-spirited young man who garnered much from his educational experiences and co-curricular activities.
Ready to serve his country shortly after graduation, Lawrence enlisted in the United States Navy and served with distinction. He was a soldier to the core who believed strongly in loyalty and commitment to his country.
During his enlistment, he received numerous awards and commendations as he advanced through the military ranks. Upon completion of his final
military assignment, her retired from active duty service with full honors.
Lawrence was not only a disciplined and patriotic soldier, but a man of great faith and belief in Christ Jesus. His strong conviction guided his life
and allowed him to be an example for others in his daily walk.
Never satisfied with idleness, Lawrence embarked on a second career after his military retirement. For 14 years, he was employed with the Sally's Distribution Center as a lead supervisor. He later joined the ranks of employees in the Clay County School System. No matter what the task, he gave his best at all times.
Incredible father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Lawrence was a kind and gentle man whose love and devotion were immeasurable. He was a
dedicated father who instilled in his son, Michael, the value of education, hard work, integrity and professionalism. Family was paramount in his life
and treasured the time spent with them profoundly.
On April 3, 2023, our beloved Lawrence was called home to be with the Lord. We praise God for the wonderful years that we shared with him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin daughters, Charity and Faith Seay; and four siblings, Gloria Dunnaway Sibley,
Randall Seay, Willie D. Seay and Patrick Seay.
Loving memories will forever remain with his son, Jonathan Emmanuel Seay of Jacksonville, FL; siblings, Johnnie Seay of Albany, GA, William
