Obituary

Leon Bradley Douglas, Jr. was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 11, 1981.  He was the first-born in the union of Leon Douglas, Sr. and Pamerly Douglas.

He received his early childhood and secondary education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Westover High School in 2000.  He continued his education at Albany Technical College  where he completed the Certificate Program in Communications.

Leon was a very talented and creative individual whose love of the arts followed him throughout his life.  Having been professionally trained in communications/media, he obtained a position as a   cameraman with WALB TV-10, Albany's leading television station.  For numerous years, he was an exemplary employee and handled photographic duties that made him one of the very best.  In later years, he secured a position at Floral Memory Gardens where he worked untiringly until acquiring his most recent position with the Hilton Garden Inn as a security guard.

A very loving and kind man, Leon was full of life and had a contagiously bright smile.  He believed strongly in family ties and took advantage of every opportunity to spend time with them.  His quirky sense of humor and one-of-a-kind personality drew people to him; thus, fostering many lasting relationships and life-time friendships.  He will long be remembered for his gentle, manurable  demeanor.

On November 30, 2022, Leon transitioned from this earthly life.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Starlett Jones and Talbot Bradford, Jr.

Loving memories will be forever cherished by his mother, Pamerly (Claude) English; grandmother, Annie Kate Bradford Frazier; brother, Eric Terrell Douglas, uncles and aunts, Ricardo Bradford, Anthony (Angela) Douglas, Michael (Viola) Douglas, Okever (Sarah) Moore, Vera Davis, Patricia (Carl) Martin, Jennifer (Roger) Baggett, Barbara Douglas, and Norma Douglas; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
