IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leonard
Patterson
January 10, 1957 – March 10, 2025
Leonard Patterson, beloved son of the late Lewis and Willie Mae Patterson, was born in West Virginia on January 10, 1957.
He received his formal education in the Calhoun County School System, including Calhoun County High School. During his school years, he was a very conscientious student who gained valuable life skills and was actively involved in various student-centered activities and events.
Leonard was a very persistent individual whose work life was most rewarding. For many years, he labored untiringly at Deerun Plantation until his health declined. He was a loyal, dedicated employee who believed strongly in working hard for what you want, being willing to do the right thing, and making sure that no task was ever left undone.
A true joy to everyone around him, Leonard believed wholeheartedly in family ties and responsibilities. He was a loving father, awesome brother, thoughtful uncle, committed cousin, and the most loyal friend that anyone could ever have. His engaging personality, outspoken and free-spirited temperament, and generous heart oftentimes made him a favorite among all who came in contact with him. Endearingly called "Pat Row," Leonard was an outgoing individual who was very witty and the life-of-the-crowd; an avid fisherman; and an outspoken but kind man who delighted in spending quality time with family and friends. In every season of his life, he always remained upbeat and joyful.
Leonard departed this earthy life on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Patterson.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by his daughters, Contessa Patterson and Dashunna Patterson both of Albany, GA; his siblings,
Anthony Luke, Nathaniel Patterson, Zema Patterson, Dwayne Patterson, Wayne Patterson, and Diletta Patterson; eight. eight grandchildren, JyKeria Patterson, Jacari Patterson, Culisha Patterson, Ashanti Crumbley, Cortavious Patterson, Javaree Patterson, James Sherman, and Shundreia Sherman; great grandchild, Ja'Niyrah Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
