Obituary

Lillian Nicholson Whitlock was born in Hartsville, South Carolina on October 24, 1934. She was the beloved daughter and only child of Mrs. Mattie Lee Hicks and Isaac Nicholson. She met and married the love of her life, Willie Whitlock Sr. on November 29, 1952 and to that union they added and raised thirteen children. She was a very proud mother and grandmother, and she supported her children in whatever way they needed her.

Lillian accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was a faithful member at 2nd Mt. Olive Baptist Church for many years until she moved membership to Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was a member of Circle Four Ministry.

Lillian enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a stayat-home mother raising her children until the youngest started grade school.

Afterwards she worked in several different positions and retired from the Dougherty County School System as an Assistant Cafeteria Manager. She loved traveling to many different places throughout this nation and Canada. Lillian was a long time member of the East Albany Women's Progressive Club.

On March 26, 2023, Lillian answered the Master's call to eternal rest.
