A Time to Be Born: Lillie Bell Daniel Blocker was born in Randolph County, Georgia on October 14, 1960. She was the beloved daughter of the late Lester Daniel and Corine Brown Alexander.
A Time to Learn: She received her formal education in the public schools of Randolph County and actively participated in numerous school events and activities.
A Time to Serve: At a very young age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of Vilulah Baptist Church in Randolph County for numerous years. After moving to Albany, Georgia, she devoted her time and study to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Lillie was a faithful and devoted servant.
A Time to Work: Lillie held fast to her belief that work is honorable. Through the years, she taught her children the value of hard work as she labored tirelessly at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. She was a very conscientious, dedicated individual who gave equal importance to every duty that she was assigned. In the midst of declining health, she retired after rendering more than 22 years of loyal service.
A Time to Love and Embrace: Lillie was formerly married to Tony Blocker. Affectionately known as "Dunk," Lillie was a very kind and gentle-hearted person who impacted many lives and families in the community. She believed deeply in unconditional love, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and delighted in helping others—never asking anything in return. Like a bright star, she had a beautiful smile that could light up a room and bring joy to everyone in her midst. The strong bonds of friendship that she developed through the years will be cherished by all who loved her dearly.
A Time to Rest : On Saturday, June 20, 2020, Lillie answered the call to eternal rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, William Stacey Hodge, Jr.
A Time to Cherish: Fond memories will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Ricky Daniels, Jr., Willie B. Daniel, Lorine Byrd, Felicia Byrd, Gregory Jerome Byrd, and Taurus Jamil Byrd; siblings, Theresa (Thomas) Hightower, Lester Daniel, Jr., Minnie (Donny) Daniel, Dorothy Daniel, Johnny (Betty) Daniel, Bettie Daniel, Mary (Ashley) Henderson all of Albany, Georgia, and Leroy (Teresa) Daniel of Preston, GA; grandchildren and great grandchildren; god-sister, Loretta Walters; best friend, Loretta Jenkins; godchildren, Jameeka Walker and Rico Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
