Obituary

Lillie Pearl Wallace was born April 13, 1957, in Albany, Georgia.  She was the youngest of seven childrten born to the late Sherman Wallace and Lillie Bell Woolbright Wallace.

During the early years of her life, she was educated in the Dougherty County School System and later completed requirements for the GED.  Lillie continued her education at Albany Technical College where she earned Associate Degrees in Horticulture and Culinary Arts.

As a young adult, Lillie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.  From that point forward, she remained steadfast, prayerful, and the joy of the Lord was forever in her heart.

Lillie was a conscientious, persistent individual with a deep sense of family loyalty, ties, and responsibilities.  Although she had no children of her own, she freely opened her home to nieces, nephews, and other family members who became the recipient of her motherly love; nurturing and compassion; wisdom and guidance; and her kind heartedness and encouragement.  She was a selfless individual—the glue that held her family together.  To her nieces Pamela Teresa Jackson and Trena Michele Reddick, she will always be remembered as Auntie/Mama and the significant role that she played in their upbringing.  Family was truly the center of her life.

The list of Lillie's interests and talents could go on and on since there wasn't much she didn't dabble in or try.  She had quite a flair for fashion and style and could out-shop anyone. Her closet definitely reflected that she was a true "fashionista."   Lillie also enjoyed coupon shopping excursions that always netted a big haul for family and friends who affectionately referred to her as the "coupon queen" because of her good deals and specials.  Blessed with a green thumb, Lillie could often be found outdoors working on one of her many flower and gardening   projects or giving flower care instructions to neighbors and friends.  She was also a great cook and delighted in preparing tasty treats for everyone to enjoy.  Lillie was dearly loved and will be missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of her life.

On Sunday, May 30, 3021, Lillie was called home to be with the Lord.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings.

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of her loving and devoted sisters, Louvenia Wright and Barbara Ann Wallace of Albany, GA, and Ella Mae Jackson of Valdosta, GA; numerous nieces and nephews; a very dear and close friend, Ruth Tucker; and a host of   cousins, extended family, neighbors, and friends.
