IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Lafaye
Oliver Moore
May 14, 1951 – May 9, 2024
Linda Lafaye Oliver Moore was born in Albany, Georgia on May 14, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Eula Oliver and Willie James Oliver.
She was educated in the public schools of Dougherty County, graduating from Monroe High School. Throughout school, Linda was a considerate, attentive young lady who was a ray of sunshine to everyone around her.
Linda accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in her late teens and united with The Church of Christ Believers under the leadership and guidance of Bishop Robert Lawson. It was there that her love for God was strengthened and her spiritual gifts were nurtured. Linda's unfaltering journey brought multiple levels of service in various capacities, including Sunday School Teacher and the Evangelism Ministry. She was a faithful member and willingly served wherever needed. Linda dearly loved the Lord and she didn't mind spreading the Word of God wherever she went. Her strong faith and convictions allowed her to be an example for her family, friends, church family, and all who encountered her.
She was united in holy matrimony to Kenneth Moore and they were blessed with three wonderful children. Linda was an altruistic mother who looked well to the ways of her household and often sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. Sharing time with family was paramount in her life and she was unwavering in her dedication to foster a Christian home filled with love, joy, and strong values.
Linda was a pillar in her community, a faithful servant of the Lord, and the binding that kept her family connected and tied together through the years. She had a kind heart, a very generous spirit, and took great pride in using her God-given talents to help others. The words penned by the songwriter, "If I can help somebody as I travel along….then my living shall not be in vain," truly exemplifies her life. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to be a part of her life.
On Thursday, May 9, 2024, surrounded by her family, Almighty God called his faithful servant home to eternal rest. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two siblings, Brenda Andrews and James Oliver.
Cherished memories will forever remain with her children, Roderick (Jessica) Moore, Sr., Tafatha Moore, and Michael Moore; grandchildren, Montavius Moore, Sr., Dejanae Moore, Monderius Moore, Roderick Moore, Jr., Rasheed Moore, Jarod Holsey, Sr., Ariyana Clay, Brandon Clay, and Ramiya Moore; great grandchildren, Asya Moore, Alyvia Moore, Montavius Moore, Jr., Rylyn Bishop, Royce Moore, Kalani Moore, Noah Parks, Royal Moore, Ryder Moore, and Jarod Holsey, Jr.; four siblings, Francene Bell, Deborah Green, Jacqueline Jones, and Dennis (Valerie) Oliver; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
