IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Jean
Patrick O'Brien
September 23, 1965 – March 29, 2022
The season of life for Linda Jean Patrick O'Brien began on September 23, 1965, in Albany, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Bobby and Mary Patrick.
She was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe Comprehensive High School. Throughout school, Linda was a considerate, attentive young lady with a yearning to be of service and help others. She continued her education at Albany Technical College where she completed the requirements to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Early in life, Linda began her fellowship with Christ. Her faith in God kept her strong, unwavering, and steadfast; and she never ceased praise Him for the many blessings in her life.
In 2011, Linda married the love of her life and soulmate, Michael O'Brien. They shared a love that was extraordinary, adventurous, and unique. She was a devoted wife and mother who diligently cared for the needs of her family through her employment at Albany Health Care. Throughout her career, she was very conscientious in serving her patients with dignity, respect, and true compassion. She had a natural gift for serving and making a difference in the lives of many people.
Fondly called "Momma" by family and friends, Linda was a very outgoing and jovial individual with a big heart and a welcoming spirit. She believed deeply in unconditional love and stood ready to help anyone in need—always with a smile and never asking anything in return. Her friendliness and kindness to all people and her devotion to family and friends are lasting tributes to the beauty of her heart and soul.
On March 29, 2022, Linda peacefully transitioned from this earthly life at UF Health Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. Although her departure leaves a void, we rejoice in knowing that she is at peace with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Gillan.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by her beloved husband, Michael O'Brien; her daughter, Santana Patrick; grandsons, Jaylin Adams and Semaj Brown; siblings, Nancy (Henry) Anderson, Emma (Reverend Dr. Darrell) Jones, Nettie (Leon) Anthony, Lillie Patrick, Deebee (Valarie) Patrick, and Bobby Patrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
