Reflections o Life

Extraordinary mother, Lorene Brown Williams, was born August 26, 1940, to the late Clarence and Fannie Mae Brown in Shellman, Randolph County, Georgia.

She was educated in the public schools of Randolph County. She continued her education at Albany Technical College majoring in Cosmetology. In later years she completed the requirements for certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

In 1956, she was united in marriage to James E. Williams. This union was blessed with a loving family consisting of four sons, two daughters, and two adopted children. Together, they nurtured their children and taught them to be respectful and humble, to love one another, and to love and trust in the Lord.

Mother Williams was a devoted member of the Albany Bible Church for several years and served faithfully wherever needed.

The joys of her life were her family and friends whom she loved dearly. She was an incredibly talented and zealous cook and delighted in preparing "BIG DINNERS" for her family. Mother Williams was ambitious in all that she did and she was a friend you depend on—always ready to help in any way that she could. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

On July 8, 2018, Mother Williams was called from labor to reward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Williams; her daughter, Loretta Williams Crews; and one brother, Willie James Brown.

She leaves a legacy of love and inspiration that will continue to be cherished by her children, James E. (Rosalyn) Williams, Jerome (Julia) Williams, Jeremiah (Deborah) Williams, Allen (Angie) Williams, Carlton James (Pearetta) Williams, Dineathia (Eddie) Redding, Lashanna Lorene Williams, and Chakeeta Jones; 29 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Carrie Heighter, Cora L. Williams, Rosie W. (Adolph) Christian, Anniece W. Smith, Bernice W. (Richard) Godlevsky, Mary L. (Willie) English, Willie Mae Williams, Florine Williams-Thomas, Shirley Williams, and Gloria J. Williams; brother-in-law, Ronnie Williams; her late brother-s son, Johnnie Lee Brooks; two very special friends, Nannie L. Moore of Jacksonville, FL and Otis Green of Hollywood, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends.

"And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4
