IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Louise Hammond
Reed
December 5, 1952 – September 2, 2021
Louise Hammond Reed, daughter of the late Oscar and Jewel Hammond, was born December 5, 1952, in Morgan, Georgia.
She received her formal education in the Calhoun County Public School System and was active in numerous school events.
At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with Jacob Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She dearly loved the Lord and remained prayerful throughout life's journey.
Domestic at heart, Louise took pride in the services that she provided through her employment as a housekeeper. Through the years, she was totally committed to her job and enjoyed a meaningful career of helping and serving others.
A joy to be around, Louise was a very genuine, kind-hearted, simplistic person who embraced life's experiences with open arms. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who loved unconditionally, was truly dedicated to her family, and never missed an opportunity to bond and spend quality time with them. Her unwavering spirit, positive attitude, beautiful smile, and loving kindness left a lasting impression that will long be remembered by all who loved her dearly.
On September 2, 2021, Louise transitioned from this earthly life to everlasting rest and peace with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Alden Hammond; and four siblings, Oscar Hammond, Jr., Charlie Hammond, Lonzo Hammond, and Patricia Hammond Butts.
Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Sabrena Bryant, Yolonda Reed, Walter Favors, and Takyna Reed all of Albany, GA; siblings, Dorothy (Thomas) Gee, David Hammond, Annie Hammond, and Glory Hammond Randle all of Albany, GA, Eloise Hammond and Albert (Tammie) Hammond of Franklin, TN, Johnny Hammond of Savannah, GA, Rutha (Melvin) Brown of Flint, MI, and Cassandra H. Atobatele of Arlington, TX; sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
