Louise Brown Smith, beloved daughter of the late Ruth (Bud) Brown and Clemmie Phillips Brown, was born in Morgan, Georgia on January 5, 1935. She was the eldest of eleven children.
A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Louise accepted Christ as her personal savior at a very early age. After moving to Palm Bay, Florida, she united with the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member and served faithfully as Mother of the Church. Mother Smith was a prayer warrior who continually immersed herself in the Word of God. She was strong in faith and used her gift of compassion and care for others to lift broken spirits, and touch the lives and hearts of many.
On January 1, 1956, Louise married the love of her life, Ben Smith. Together, they created a loving home where they raised their four children with patience, discipline and humility.
Blessed beyond measure, Mother Smith lived to see generations of her off-springs with whom she left a legacy of love, humility, generosity, and godliness. She was a woman of grace, of integrity, and of principle who had a kindness about her and would go the extra mile to help someone in need.
Mother Smith returned to her heavenly home on January 22, 2018, after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God comforted her and ultimately gave her peace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Rebecca Christian, Luvern Brooks, Jimmie Grisson, Major Brown, Brady Brown, and Rufus Brown.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by her husband, Ben Smith; her children, Jeffrey (Evelyn), Bruce, Melinda, and Sharon; grandchildren, Moya Smith, Keona Smith, Karel Smith, Vanessa (Quentin) Sanders, Chiniqua Smith, Tori Smith, and Jeffrey C. Smith; great grandchildren, Jaaliyah Allen, Vionni Smith, JaVen Smith, Samaira Smith, Kobe Smith, Taryn Smith, Sky Sanders, Taylor Smith, Sydney Sanders, Kase Campbell, and Jahman Smith; and four sisters, Glory Jean Brown, Susie Hall, Ernestine Langes, and Annie Holder.
