Lyndon "Bane" Phelps was born in Albany, Georgia on December 17, 1965, to Lucy B. Phelps and the late Deacon Lennie Phelps.

He was educated in the Dougherty School System, graduating from Dougherty Comprehensive High School in 1983.  While at Dougherty High, he actively participated in various school organizations, activities, and sporting events.

On March 16, 2002, Lyndon was united in marriage to the love his life, Ieshia Kegler.  Together, they embarked on a life filled with love, adventure, and devotion to each other.  Lyndon was a loving husband and father who always sacrificed his needs for his family.  He was a loyal and dedicated employee of Albany Cold Storage where he worked untiringly  for numerous years as a forklift driver, until becoming disabled.  No matter what the task, he took great pride in his work and always gave his ALL.

Bane, as we was called by family and friends, was a delightful man with a big heart.  His love for family and friends knew no boundaries and he touched their lives in a very special way.  He found comfort and solace in the outdoors; had a passion for grilling; was an awesome DJ; and made a lasting impression on everyone that he came in contact with.  His one-of-a-kind personality and stylish attire will long be remembered.

Lyndon departed this  life on July 8, 2020, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by his devoted wife, Iesha Kegler Phelps; his children, Tyreem Phelps, Reshard Kegler, Reshon Kegler, Gabreil Phelps, and Iyanna Phelps; mother, Lucy B. Phelps; siblings, Daniel (Beverly) Phelps, Sondra King, Jackie King, Lucindy King, and Linda (Woody) Woods; eight grandchildren; mother and father-in-law, Ernest and Gwen Kegler; a very close friend, Ben Fudge; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, former co-workers, and friends.
